Soffit & Fascia
Soffit and fascia do more than “finish the look” of a roofline. They protect the edges of your roof, support proper airflow, and help keep water, pests, and rot away from your home.
At Magnum Roofing & Restoration, we install and repair soffit & fascia the right way. We focus on clean alignment, strong fastening, and smart ventilation so your roof system performs better long-term.

What Are Soffit & Fascia?
Soffit sits underneath your roof overhang. It helps your attic breathe and blocks moisture and pests from getting into the roof structure.
Fascia runs along the roof edge (where gutters attach). It protects the roof edge, supports the gutter system, and helps direct water away from your home.
If you’re also dealing with gutter problems, see: Gutters.
Why Soffit & Fascia Matter in Florida
Florida weather hits roof edges hard. Heat, humidity, storms, and heavy rain all target the roofline first. When soffit or fascia fails, water can reach the wood and create bigger problems fast.
Soffit & fascia help you avoid
- Rot at roof edges and rafter tails
- Gutter sagging or pulling away
- Pest entry points near the roofline
- Mold and moisture issues from poor airflow
- Interior leaks that start at the roof edge
If storms caused the damage, check: Storm Damage Repair.
Soffit Installation
We install soffit to improve airflow and protect the underside of your roof overhang. We also match the soffit style to your home so everything looks clean and consistent.
Common soffit options
- Vented soffit (great for attic airflow)
- Solid soffit (used where ventilation isn’t needed)
- Aluminum or vinyl soffit (low-maintenance and durable)
Better airflow supports the whole roof system. If you’re planning bigger roof work, start here: Residential Roofing.
Fascia Installation
We install fascia to create a strong roof edge and support your gutters. We also seal and fasten it correctly so it resists wind, rain, and long-term warping.
Fascia helps with
- Gutter support and proper alignment
- Protecting roof edges from water intrusion
- Clean roofline appearance
- Stronger edge details during storm season

FAQs
Do soffit and fascia affect attic ventilation?
Yes. Vented soffit helps pull fresh air into the attic. That airflow supports temperature control and moisture management.
Can you replace fascia without replacing gutters?
Yes. We can replace fascia and reinstall your gutters if the gutter system is still in good shape. If gutters also need an upgrade, we’ll tell you during inspection.
Why does fascia rot happen?
Fascia rot usually starts when water overflows or backs up due to clogged gutters, missing drip edge, or poor drainage. We address the cause so the repair lasts.
